Searching in Specific Fields

To make your search more precise, you can limit it to a particular field.

For example, the search orwell retrieves all references to Orwell, whether author, subject, word included in the full text of the material, or part of a term such as Orwellian. A more defined search that specifies a field, orwell in au, returns only those records in which Orwell is an author. For a listing of all fields, refer to the Database Description of the database you are searching.

In the Basic Search screen, you can enter a constructed search query including field labels.

In the Advanced Search screen, you can enter a term and select a field from the drop-down box.

In the Browse screen, you can enter a term and select a field from the drop-down box.
